Move over, butter. These Garlic Paresan Mashed Potatoes are here to steal the show - creamy, dreamy, and full of rich flavor without a single stick of butter in sight! We're talking silky mashed potatoes kissed with Caramelized Garlic Infused Olive Oil, a touch of Black Garlic Sea Salt, and a sprinkle of parmesan that'll have everyone asking for seconds (and maybe thirds).
They're fancy enough for the holidays but easy enough for a weeknight dinner - no gravy required.
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup Caramelized Garlic Infused Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup half and half
- 2 tsp Black Garlic Infused Sea Salt
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- chives, to finish
Directions:
-
Add potatoes to a large pot of salted cold water. Bring water to a simmer and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
-
Strain potatoes and add to a large bowl. Use a potato ricer for smooth potatoes or a hand masher for more textured potatoes.
-
Mix in Caramelized Garlic Infused Olive Oil, half and half, Black Garlic Infused Sea Salt, and Parmesan. Careful not to overmix to avoid a gluey texture.
-
Top with chives and serve.
Chivilla Bay Tip:
Want to turn these into a next-level comfort dish? Spoon your mashed potatoes into a baking dish, sprinkle extra parmesan on top, and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden and bubbly. Boom - fancy restaurant vibes, no reservations needed.
