Spanish Garlic Shrimp: Sizzling, Savory & Simply Irresistible

Embark on a culinary journey to Spain with this tantalizing Spanish Garlic Shrimp (Gambas al Ajillo)! With succulent shrimp, the aromatic essence of garlic, and a touch of smoky sweetness, this dish is the perfect balance of bold flavors, whether enjoyed as a tapas appetizer or a satisfying main dish. Savory, vibrant, and sure to impress at any meal!

Ingredients:

    Directions:

    1. Pat shrimp dry and season with 2 tsp Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning and Roasted Garlic Infused Sea Salt. Let sit for 15 minutes. 

    2. In a large cast iron skillet, heat the 100 ml of Seville Spanish Extra Virgin Olive Oil over medium-low heat until it shimmers but not smoking. Add in the remaining 2 tsp Sweet Smoked Chili Rub & Seasoning and minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

    3. Add in shrimp and baste with a spoon until the shrimp are cooked through and opaque, about 3 minutes. 

    4. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the White Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. 

    5. Transfer the shrimp with the sauce to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley and lemon zest. 

    6. Serve with your favorite crusty bread and enjoy!

    Best Substitutes for White Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

    1. Lemon White Barrel Aged Balsamic - Best all-around swap! Bright and zesty, it balances teh richness of shrimp and olive oil beautifully. Keeps that fresh Mediterranean feel.
    2. Jalapeno Lime White Balsamic - For a little kick! Adds subtle heat and citrus - great if you like your shrimp with a tiny spark.
    3. Meyer Lemon White Balsamic - Light and sweet. Slightly sweeter than the Modena, pairs perfectly with garlic and seafood.

    If you want to keep the authentic Spanish profile, go with the Lemon White Balsamic. If you want something more fun and Chivilla Bay-style, the Jalepeno Lime will give it that bold, playful punch.
