Store-bought pizza dough? Around here, we respectfully decline. π
This Wild Garlic Pizza Dough is the kind of recipe that turns homemade pizza night into a full-blown event. Soft, chewy, herb-packed dough gets a savory upgrade from Wild Garlic Herb Blend, Roasted Garlic Sea Salt, and Basil Genovese Olive Oil. Translation? Your kitchen is about to smell like an Italian bakery and a garlic festival had a very delicious baby.
The best part? This dough works for everything from classic pepperoni pizzas to gourmet flatbreads piled high with fancy cheeses and βI saw this on Pinterest onceβ toppings.
Fair warning though... once you make pizza dough from scratch, the canned stuff starts tasting a little emotionally unavailable.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup lukewarm water (110Β°F to 115Β°F)
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp Wild Garlic Dried Herb Blend
- 1 tsp Roasted Garlic Infused Sea Salt
- 3 tbsp Basil Genovese Infused Olive Oil
Directions
- In a bowl, dissolve the honey in the warm water. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and stir gently until dissolved, about 1 minute.
- Add the flour, Wild Garlic Herb Blend, Roasted Garlic Sea Salt, and Basil Genovese Olive Oil.
- Stir with a spoon until the flour is incorporated and a soft dough begins to form.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Dust your hands with flour and knead gently, gradually adding just enough flour until the dough is no longer sticky.
- Continue kneading until the dough becomes smooth, elastic, and slightly shiny, about 5 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a well-oiled bowl, turning to coat all sides.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and place in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 45 minutes.
- Punch down the dough and prepare according to your favorite pizza recipe. Roll it thin, pile it high, and prepare for compliments.
Tips & Swaps π π§
- Want crispier crust? Preheat your pizza pan or pizza stone before baking.
- This dough also makes incredible garlic bread or cheesy breadsticks. Dangerous knowledge.
- Add a little shredded parmesan directly into the dough for extra savory flavor.
- Feeling fancy? Brush the crust edges with additional Basil Genovese Olive Oil before baking.
